John Danes was the celebrant for my dad’s funeral service at Tribes in Shoreham this January. From the first time my mum, sister and myself met him he took the upmost care in listening and delivering what we as a family wanted for my dad’s service. Nothing was too much trouble and with John’s help and support, what was a sad day, went perfectly and was a fitting tribute my dad.
I have known John Danes for about a year now. Working as a funeral director in the funeral industry, I have used John’s services to lead funeral services for bereaved families for which I have arranged funerals for. John is a joy to work with, and I have always enjoyed his delivery at funeral services. He tailors each funeral service so very thoughtfully, and makes each and every delivery personal, relevant and engaging. During services, John interacts very well with the congregation. He is very observational, and pitches elements of empathy, humour and kindness extremely well, all delivered very naturally and appropriately. He really does put the congregation at ease. I would highly recommend John to provide funeral services. John is a lovely, warm, kind, approachable chap and very reliable.
I lost my wife last September which came as a massive blow. The funeral directors were brilliant and put us in touch with John Danes who we were told was the best person to take care of the Funeral Service. I met John at home, and he put together what I and my family thought was the perfect service for my wife. We were so please to have John talk at the service because all the family were too upset to talk at the service. The day was perfect, it could not have gone better.
